Schell Brothers

Schell Brothers is a home builder headquartered in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, building new single-family homes and communities across coastal Delaware and the Delmarva region, as well as in Virginia, Tennessee and Idaho.

The company was founded in 2003 by Chris Schell, who left a career in finance to start a builder that put the happiness of its employees and customers first. Its stated purpose is to maximize happiness rather than profit. Schell Brothers builds energy-efficient homes and runs more than 50 communities, with division offices in Rehoboth Beach, North Chesterfield (Virginia), Hendersonville (Tennessee) and Eagle (Idaho). Its recognition includes Builder of the Year from Professional Builder magazine, along with regional home builder association awards in Delaware, Virginia and Tennessee.

Schell Brothers was a sponsor of E-Volution Expo 2026, the electric vehicle, technology, sustainability and wellness show held at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland, in September 2026, and was named on the expo’s sponsor wall.
