Ardell Yacht & Ship Brokers

Ardell Yacht & Ship Brokers is a yacht brokerage with offices in Newport Beach, California, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Its Fort Lauderdale office sits on SE 17th Street, the stretch of the city lined with yards, chandlers and marine businesses.

The firm dates back to 1958, when it was founded by Don Haskell in Newport Beach, according to BOAT International’s broker directory. In 1962 Haskell brought in a group of brokers who went on to become well-known names in the trade, and in 1971 Ardell opened its Fort Lauderdale office. Industry directories list its work across superyacht sales, charter brokerage and management.

On the sales side, Ardell advises owners on pricing and marketing a yacht for sale and helps buyers choose the right vessel, drawing on decades of relationships with shipyards and others in the industry.

During Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show week, Ardell hosts a Captains Cocktail Party for yacht captains, by invitation. It is one of the longest-running evenings on the boat show social calendar.
