These terms govern your use of citywide.tv and the content and services offered on it. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who we are
Citywide.TV is a media production and events company based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We publish event guides, live music calendars, a regional business directory and original video coverage across South Florida and the Mid-Atlantic, and we produce video and event coverage on a commissioned basis.
Editorial content
We publish event listings, calendars, directory entries and articles in good faith and try to keep them accurate. Event dates, times, prices, venues and line-ups change frequently and often without notice. Always confirm details with the organiser or venue before you travel or spend money. We are not responsible for events that are cancelled, rescheduled, sold out or different from what was listed.
The business directory
Directory listings describe businesses that are independent of Citywide.TV. A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a warranty about the quality, licensing, insurance or conduct of that business. Any dealing you have with a listed business is between you and them.
If you submit a listing, you confirm that you are authorised to represent that business and that the information is accurate. We may edit, decline or remove any listing at our discretion. We may remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, out of date, or that we believe is being used to mislead readers.
Content you submit
When you send us a directory listing, an event submission, a story tip, a comment or images, you keep ownership of it. You grant Citywide.TV a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce and adapt that material on our site and on our social channels in connection with covering it. You confirm you own the material or have permission to send it to us, and that publishing it will not infringe anyone’s rights.
Do not send us anything unlawful, defamatory, misleading, infringing, or that contains someone else’s personal information without their consent. We may remove any submission for any reason.
Our content
Articles, video, photography, graphics, layout and the Citywide.TV name and logo are owned by Citywide.TV or used with permission. You may link to our pages and quote briefly with attribution. You may not republish our articles or video in full, scrape the site, or use our content to train machine-learning models, without our written permission.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site; do not scrape it by automated means; do not use it to send spam or to harvest contact details; do not impersonate anyone; do not use it for anything unlawful.
Links to other sites
We link to venues, organisers, ticket sellers, businesses and other publications. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their practices or anything you buy from them.
Commissioned work
Video production, event coverage and other paid services are governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, deliverables, schedule and fees, which is agreed before any booking. Nothing on this site is an offer to perform paid work on particular terms, and nothing here overrides a signed agreement.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Citywide.TV will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or lost data, arising out of your use of the site or reliance on its content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, whichever is greater.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Citywide.TV against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from material you submit to us or from your misuse of the site.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
