Every boat in town spends the week before FLIBS getting polished, provisioned and re-stocked. On Tuesday night, the two departments doing most of that work get a party of their own.
Culinary Convenience, the family-owned chef and stew supply store on S Andrews Ave, and the Future Chef Project are hosting Chef & Stew Fest 2026 on Tuesday, October 27, from 6 to 9 PM, the night before the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show opens. Yacht chefs and stews are invited to bring a friend and meet the provisioners who stock their galleys and pantries.

Who will be there
The hosts say all the provisioners will be on hand to say hello and set crews up for the season. The announcement tags National Marine Suppliers, Yacht Chandlers, @delawarechickenfarmandseafood, @bushbros, @tokyotorofish, @maisonpensato and @yachtprovisioners, and Jimmy P’s Yacht Provisions has said it is coming too.

For a chef or a chief stew, this is the useful part. The people you will be ordering produce, seafood, provisions and tableware from all season are in one room, the day before everyone gets too busy to talk.

Every week: Chef Club and Stew Club
The Fest grows out of two standing meet-ups Culinary Convenience runs at the store. Wine, beer and finger food are served at both.
- Chef Club, every Tuesday, 6–8 PM. For chefs of all levels to meet, swap notes and make industry connections.
- Stew Club (“Bubbles & Bites”), every Wednesday, 5:30–7:30 PM. Interior crew only. A meet-up for stews to mingle, connect and pick up the latest hospitality trends.

In show week the Fest lands on a Tuesday and Stew Club falls on FLIBS opening night, so check @culinary_convenience before you go to see whether the regular club nights run that week.

Where it fits in boat show week
The Fest is the crew’s warm-up. FLIBS opens the next day, Wednesday Oct. 28, and runs to Sunday Nov. 1 across six venues. On Thursday Oct. 29 the Captains & Crew Appreciation Party takes over The Wharf on Las Olas, with a $500 best-costume prize. Every party of the week, with how to get in, is on our FLIBS 2026 party list and the Marine Events calendar.
