The gates open at noon on Wednesday, October 28, and for five days Fort Lauderdale becomes the center of the boating world. The 67th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show puts more than 1,300 boats across six waterfront locations, with organizers expecting more than 50 debuts. The show’s owner, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, puts its economic impact at $1.79 billion a year.

And the biggest boat on the docks comes with the best backstory in yachting. (Read the full Draak story.)

The headliner: a 304-foot ship with a past

Timeline of the superyacht Draak: delivered by Oceanco as Equanimity in 2014, seized in 2018 in the 1MDB scandal, sold in 2019 and renamed Tranquility, rebuilt in 2026 as a support ship for Leviathan, docked at FLIBS 2026

Draak, the 92.8-metre (304-foot) Oceanco, is the largest yacht at FLIBS 2026. You may know her by an older name; we tell the whole story here. She was delivered in 2014 as Equanimity, the superyacht of fugitive financier Jho Low, and became one of the best-known assets in the 1MDB scandal when Malaysian authorities seized her in 2018. A Genting Group company bought her in 2019, renamed her Tranquility and chartered her for up to $1.25 million a week.

Now she has a completely different job. Oceanco rebuilt her as a support ship for Valve founder Gabe Newell’s 111-metre Leviathan: the pools and spas made way for decompression chambers, heavy cranes, dive operations and room for extra crew and tenders. She is longer than an NFL field, goal line to goal line.

Draak leads a heavyweight lineup at Superyacht Village at Pier Sixty-Six South. Three of the five biggest boats are Feadships:

  • Lady Christine (Feadship, 68 m / 223 ft): six split-level decks and Rodney Black’s first superyacht interior.
  • Scout (Royal Hakvoort, 63.7 m / 209 ft): an ice-class explorer with a helideck, a winter garden, a bridge-deck greenhouse and an owner’s terrace nicknamed the “puppy park.”
  • Rock.it (Feadship, 60.4 m / 198 ft): refitted in 2020 and 2024, with a backlit onyx bar.
