SpartanX Solar, shown as Spartan X at its event booths, is a residential solar installation company that designs and installs rooftop solar systems for homeowners. It operates in nine U.S. states, including Maryland, where it recruits installation and service crews in the Baltimore area.
The company offers solar with no money down through subscription plans, as well as loans and cash purchases, and says it includes system maintenance, insurance and equipment warranties. SpartanX reports more than 5,000 completed installations across Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, Georgia, Maryland, Texas, Iowa and Virginia.
At E-Volution Expo 2026 in Ocean City, Maryland, Spartan X was talking solar with visitors, with a sign warning Marylanders that 1:1 net metering ends July 1, 2027, a change that affects how new home solar systems are credited for the power they send back to the grid.
