Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce
The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce describes itself as the largest and oldest business organization in Broward County. Its stated mission is to “serve and expand our business community by working together with business professionals in our region, providing opportunities, information services and advocacy.” Its members come from across the county, including Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Sunrise, Weston and other cities.
The chamber offers business advocacy, referrals and networking. Members can join leads groups and a set of councils organized around industry and community interests. Membership levels go up to Trustee, Trustee Plus and a Chairman’s Circle. Its leadership program is Leadership Fort Lauderdale, which introduces emerging leaders to the region’s civic and economic issues.
Its main recurring events include an Annual Meeting, which the chamber now counts past its 116th edition, and the Salute to Business Awards, which has run for more than four decades. It also hosts the Excellence in Healthcare Awards, an Access to Capital Summit and a Tri-Regional Mayors Lunch that brings together elected leaders from around South Florida.
The chamber is based in downtown Fort Lauderdale on NE 3rd Avenue.
The chamber’s top job is changing hands. Longtime President & CEO Dan Lindblade, CAE, who has more than three decades of chamber management experience, has stepped aside. In January 2026 the chamber posted an opening for a permanent President & CEO. Its current staff directory lists Dr. Ty Richardson as Interim President & CEO and Denise Jordan as Executive Vice President. No permanent appointment had been announced as of September 2026.
