Nautical Ventures
Nautical Ventures is a Florida boat dealership, marina and service group headquartered at 50 S Bryan Road in Dania Beach. Founded by Roger Moore, a circumnavigator who has lived aboard boats since 1986, the company sells new and pre-owned boats alongside marina, storage and service operations.
The Dania Beach waterfront showroom is the flagship. The group also runs a Fort Lauderdale marina and service center on Anglers Avenue offering wet slips, dry storage and repairs, and operates dealerships on Florida’s west coast in the Tampa Bay area and Sarasota, as well as in Palm City and Pensacola. A kayak rental operation in Riviera Beach rounds out the network. The company offers financing and yacht brokerage in addition to new-boat sales.
The brand list is broad. Powerboats include Axopar, Beneteau, Edgewater, Nimbus, Tahoe, Twin Vee and Wellcraft; yachts include Fairline and Brabus; sailboats include Beneteau Oceanis and Nautor’s Swan; and tenders include Highfield. The group is also a Florida dealer for electric boats and was named exclusive Florida dealer for Sterk. Engine brands include Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Tohatsu. The range spans first-time buyers of a center console or inflatable up to buyers of large cruising yachts.
Boating Industry magazine named Nautical Ventures Group its 2024 Top 100 Dealer of the Year. The magazine noted that the company entered the Top 100 list in 2016 with three locations and later climbed into the Top 20. At the time of its 2025 sale, the group was described as the top Axopar dealership in the world.
In June 2025 the business was acquired by Vision Marine Technologies, a Nasdaq-listed Montreal company that makes high-voltage electric outboard propulsion. Moore retired from his executive and board roles in June 2026. Vision Marine has since been consolidating the real estate: in July 2026 it sold the former Federal Highway showroom property in Fort Lauderdale, moving sales to Dania Beach and service, rigging and delivery to the Fort Lauderdale Marina.
