TidalHealth
TidalHealth is a regional health care system serving the Delmarva Peninsula, with its flagship hospital, TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, in Salisbury, Maryland. The system offers care from wellness checkups and classes to surgery, trauma, cancer and heart care, with health complexes including locations in Ocean Pines, Maryland and Millsboro, Delaware.
TidalHealth was formed when Peninsula Regional Health System and Nanticoke Health Services merged in January 2020, and the system took the TidalHealth name on September 1, 2020. Its Salisbury hospital traces its roots to 1897, when Dr. George W. Todd opened a six-bed hospital in an old home. Today TidalHealth Peninsula Regional has roughly 300 beds and is a Level III trauma center, and the system also includes TidalHealth Nanticoke and the TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute.
TidalHealth was a sponsor of E-Volution Expo 2026 at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, and its logo appeared on the expo’s sponsor wall alongside the Town of Ocean City and other partners.
