eMerge Americas

eMerge Americas is a Miami organization that runs one of South Florida’s largest annual technology conferences and a year-round program of events. It brings together large companies, startups, investors and government officials, with a focus on the U.S., Latin America and Europe.

eMerge was founded by Melissa Medina, its CEO, and Manny Medina, its chairman. Manny Medina previously founded Terremark, a data center company that Verizon acquired in 2011. The first conference was held in 2014 and featured an opening keynote by XPRIZE founder Peter Diamandis. The event has been held at the Miami Beach Convention Center in recent years.

Its programming now focuses on four areas: AI and deep tech, finance, health and human performance, and national security. The conference includes a Startup Accelerator and Showcase with more than 100 pre-vetted startups, pitch competitions and investor matchmaking. There is also an SMB Growth Lab for small and mid-sized businesses and a Market Expansion and Trade Forum for companies entering new international markets.

The 2026 conference and expo took place April 23–24, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. According to the organizers, it drew more than 20,000 attendees from over 60 countries, with more than 300 speakers and over 400 exhibitors.

Upcoming event: eMerge Americas 2027 is scheduled for March 2–4, 2027, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. That is earlier in the year than the April dates of recent editions, and registration is open on the eMerge website. See all upcoming dates on the Citywide.TV Tech Events calendar.
