Consumer Technology Association (CTA)

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is a technology trade association based in Arlington, Virginia, representing the U.S. consumer technology industry. It describes itself as North America’s largest technology trade association and says its members support more than 18 million American jobs.

CTA owns and produces CES, the annual technology show in Las Vegas, which returns January 6 to 9, 2027 for its 60th edition. Beyond the show, the association works on technology policy, industry research and standards, and runs events such as CES on the Hill in Washington, which brings exhibitors and innovators to meet policymakers.

In February 2026 CTA announced a leadership succession: Kinsey Fabrizio became President and CEO effective May 1, 2026, and Gary Shapiro, who has led the organization since 1991, serves as Executive Chair. CTA’s audit of CES 2026 counted 148,392 attendees and more than 4,100 exhibitors.
