Burgess

Burgess is a superyacht company founded in 1975 by the British solo ocean racer Nigel Burgess. It runs a network of offices worldwide, including two in South Florida: Miami, on Brickell Avenue, and Palm Beach.

The firm works at the large-yacht end of the market across charter, yacht sales and purchase, new construction, yacht management and crew services. Its Miami office serves the Florida yachting community with specialists in sales brokerage, charter, charter management and technical yacht management. Other Burgess offices include London, Monaco, New York, Newport Beach, Aspen, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, Athens, Palma, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney.

Burgess shows at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show at the superyacht end of the docks, Pier Sixty-Six South, and hosts clients through the week. Like most brokerages its FLIBS events are relationship-gated rather than ticketed; details are posted on its Fort Lauderdale boat show page.
