U.S. Superyacht Association (USSA)
The U.S. Superyacht Association (USSA) is a trade association for the American superyacht industry, founded in 2006 and based on SE 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale. It describes itself as the voice of the American superyacht industry, a sector it puts at $6 billion.
USSA focuses on advocacy, education, networking and growth initiatives for companies that build, service, dock and supply large yachts in the United States. Its volunteer board is drawn from across the trade, from marinas and shipyards to finance, insurance, logistics and yacht design, and includes regional directors for the Northwest, Southwest, Great Lakes, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. The current board chairman is Joe Dargavage of United Island & Yacht.
During Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show week, USSA hosts Class vs. Flag, an open industry session at Bahia Mar’s Commodore Ballroom, along with member networking.
